to Talmudic times, Neve Tzuf came into existence in 1977 by decision of the Israeli government, with American approval. Home to an archaeological site and a national nature reserve, with walking trails and wonderful picnic sites, life in this modern Orthodox yishuv is countrified and closely-knit. There are homes for purchase/rental, but you must first go through an acceptance committee to live here.
English-speaker Rabbi Jonathan Blass is the Yishuv Rabbi. There are three synagogues: central, Yemenite and Sepharadi. Shiurim throughout the week. Neve Tzuf is home to the Elisha Pre-Military Yeshiva Academy. There are Bnei Akiva and Oz youth groups.
Religious Education: There are pre-schools and the Neve Tzuf regional public religious elementary school. For junior high and high school, the girls go to Ulpana in Ofra (7th -8th grades with transportation) and dorm in Ofra two nights each week during high school. For 7th-8th grades the boys go to school in Talmon (transportation) and for high school to Yeshivot throughout the country.
